Typomorphosis

Details Pandora Box

Typographic Spider

Dynamic type projects developed by Michael Fluckiger.

LAIKA, a thesis project developed by Fluckiger with Nicolas Kunz, manifests digital type in a fluid, interactive form.
"LAIKA is neither bold nor thin, but swings between these two extremes. Its form is no longer defined statically, but alters dynamically. As well as the font’s weight, the stroke contrast, serif lengths and italic angles of the font all behave dynamically too. All these parameters can be driven and influenced by a range of inputs, in order to create a typeface that changes constantly in real time."

The GAP Cmd Z

As Gap recently experienced with the birth and immediate death of their new logo, change is good..if it's good change. The new logo received hefty criticism, addressed as "a failed spinoff of a major airline", akward, and mediocre before Gap scratched the idea. Interesting summary on Vanity Fair.

In public

Charming paintings by Scott Duce in his In Public series remind me of the subway art by Janet Zweigat seen at Prince St. station in Soho.

Speaking of the public, a huge thanks to all who stopped by the Fort Lee Fair at the beginning of the month! It's always a joy to meet the people who make our shirts fly!
